FUTURE USE ARCHITECTURE | MIT Venture Mentoring Services

5th-Year Comprehensive Design Studio:
The versatility of my future-use protosystem, developed from research into flexible building systems, was tested when applied to a given client – MIT Venture Mentoring Services (VMS) – and a site adjacent to the Kendall T Stop in Cambridge, MA, which consists of two existing concrete-frame buildings surrounded by parking lots. VMS called for administrative offices and flexible business incubator spaces for upstart companies expecting a high turn-over rate, requiring the incubator spaces to accommodate frequent changes in occupancy and office layout.
